Ikea Tarva Hack, diy Hand Painted Dresser
I needed a small dresser, and was unable to find what I wanted at the thrift stores I visited, so I decided to try Ikea. The Tarva dresser was the right price, and a great canvas. I had myself a weekend project. Little did I know how much work I was getting into.
Painted a white frame about 2 inches in from the edges.
Marked it lightly with pencil.
I used painters tape 2 inches from the edge to create a frame, being very careful to keep the tape off of the pencil line.
Here are the drawer and sides of the dresser taped and ready for paint.
I left out pictures of the hours it took to assemble the dresser.
Whew a, what a pain in the a$$!
Here is the dresser before the final touches.
I measured and taped where I wanted the vines to be, then freestyled the leaves
I picked up the knobs at Hobby Lobby...and it's done! I feel like I played it a little safe with these colors, but all in all, I'm happy with it.

funky tote
I so enjoyed making this tote...the biggest challenge was choosing the contrasting fabric for the pockets. I have tons of fabric to choose from, but nothing seemed to work till I dug a vintage mens suit jacket out of the closet.

Love Quilting
I decided to back the quilt with a gorgeous vintage sheet. I really enjoy hand quilting, but decided to try my hand at machine quilting for this one. I took my time and carefully rolled the quilt as I went along to keep it manageable.
Then I put out over my shoulder add I fed it through the machine.
Now I'm working on my favorite part...binding!

Ecclectic
Having fun decorating with little details and a lovely vintage style afghan...
Tiny cabinet of curiosities with a bit of moss, some crystals and mini charms was fun to decorate.
This floral granny square afgan was a sweet find.

Hand Stitched Felt Baby Booties
I found this sweet baby bootie pattern online for free at Craft Foxes. Use wool felt and some embroidery floss to make a gorgeous gift for that upcoming baby shower.
I added a flap closure with snaps instead of ribbon ties.
